Becoming a refugee is one of the most extreme forms of breaking up “normal” family structures. Fathers and other men often get thrust into caring roles in the most difficult circumstances imaginable, sometimes with no women in their family present. Fortunately for the children, men have powerful caring instincts that come into play and help the children to survive.
At Family Included we want to develop projects that ensure that refugee fathers are supported as well as refugee mothers.
These images from Huffington Post demonstrate the full power of the caring instincts of men.
